Builders nationwide are cutting back on the amount of specs they are building and needed a way to display their capabilities to licensed real estate agents inexpensively at precisely the time they had a buyer.

AUSTIN, TX —Builders Update, creator of the only national new home inventory CRM specifically catering to licensed real estate agents, has created proprietary, patent pending functionality to provide all builders the capability to display not only their existing inventory but their planned properties as well, with all variations.

“When we initially visited the leaders of various home builders nationwide to determine their interest in having this system built, it was apparent that in this new economy, builders were planning on reducing the amount of available specs and their ‘ready to move in’ properties that they were building,” said Bill Gaul, CEO of Builders Update. “Yet, they wanted a vehicle in which to showcase their capabilities to licensed real estate agents at the time they had a buyer in their car. Current MLS systems did not support that type of flexibility.”

It was a challenge to create that capability, yet make it easy to use and flexible enough to accommodate all builders, both large and small. “We initially rolled out a beta version of our solution and had leading real estate agents give us their comments. Based on those suggestions we improved the technology which offers agents the ability to view not only existing inventory but also ‘virtual model homes’ and share them with their clients,” stated Andy Bearden, National Sales Director for Builders Update. “Our members are our greatest asset and a great R&D team, willing to give us suggestions on how we can further assist them. Builders Update was built on the fundamental concept of a service built by agents for agents.”

Now, agents can search on Builders Update not only for existing inventory, but also to-be-builts, available lots, and condominiums with precisely the information and layout they need to have complete information available to them at their fingertips, instantaneously.
