  1. What is BuildersUpdate.com?

BuildersUpdate.com is a web-based search engine for new homes, specifically designed with Realtors in mind. We offer Realtors up-to-date and accurate information about new homes available in their area. The site is fast, easy to navigate, and consolidates everything an agent needs to know in one site they can access 24/7.

  2. How is BuildersUpdate.com different?

BuildersUpdate.com is geared exclusively to new homes and consolidates a city's new home inventory into one place. Most importantly, the data on BuildersUpdate.com is kept up-to-date and accurate in real time. Printed materials are out of date the moment they leave the press. BuildersUpdate.com is designed to substantially lower your marketing cost while giving you analytics that you've never seen before to help you make more sales at a lower cost.

  3. Why BuildersUpdate.com?

Amazingly, agents can sell anywhere from 40% to 70% of all the new home inventory in most towns and yet the majority are totally frustrated trying to find the new home data. Most marketing tools builders use to reach agents can't be searched via modern mapping technology. Often, these tools are inaccurate, and rarely provide all the data in one place. The advantage of having all the data an agent needs available in one spot on the web adds incredible value to BuildersUpdate.com and the agents love it. BuildersUpdate.com, simply put, is fast, easy and accurate.

  4. How can I save?

Basically, BuildersUpdate.com allows you to reach the buyers who are already qualified by working to reach the agents who represent them and to do it in the most inexpensive way. BuildersUpdate.com is far superior to any tool you now use simply because the web can deliver powerful advantages at much lower cost. Everybody knows that using the internet is the wave of the future. The cost savings alone would be worth it, but the web can deliver powerful tools to increase your business as well.

  5. I have my web site; why do I need anything else?

Your web site is critical, but the issue here is marketing to all licensed agents at one time. Agents across the country have continually complained about the lack of having all of the new home data in one spot that they can count on for accuracy, ease of use, and that is accessible 24/7 no matter where they are. Typically, agents gravitate to the tool that is easiest to use. Trying to gather information from multiple builder websites is not easy, or fast. BuildersUpdate.com solves that problem.

  6. How does BuildersUpdate.com attract agents?

BuildersUpdate.com places everything an agent could possibly need to know - over 40 different pieces of information from accurate mapping of the new home to your latest incentives on that house - into one website. Everything is there including images, floor plans, taxes, schools, directions, all the information an agent needs to make a sale. We use mapping and search technologies that make it easy for agents to find your inventory. The agents love the site and continue to tell their friends. Word spreads quickly and then you have a great tool they will continue to use time and again. And, the site is free for the agents' use so they naturally get "hooked" very quickly.

  7. Doesn't an MLS do that for me?

The MLS in most towns is a great tool, but they were never designed exclusively for new homes, i.e. they archive data, which means that if you make a special deal for one buyer, you have to report that in the records for the next buyer to see! Most were not designed for map searching and pulling floor plans. The kind of data you need to get out there to agents is not made readily available. An agent can't print your latest incentive program like they can through BuildersUpdate.com. Selling new homes is different from selling pre-owned homes. Amazingly, BuildersUpdate.com is a great complement to an MLS system. They both fill very different needs.

  8. Do you offer any other services besides searching for new homes?

Agents love BuildersUpdate.com because it has everything they need to make that new home sale. We offer consolidated information that all home buyers need including lists of movers, temporary housing, and schools as well as helpful information on where to get your driver's license changed - and much more. BuildersUpdate.com can also provide helpful information to the agents to assist their buyers in getting their utilities turned on, and nobody else does that!

  9. So how does BuildersUpdate.com keep the data accurate?

We work as your partner to help each other all the way! Once you're registered in the site, a BuildersUpdate.com Data Coordinator will be assigned specifically to you and will contact you to help you get your inventory loaded. We know accurate data is critical, so every week our Data Coordinator will touch base with your designated contact(s) to insure stages, prices, availability, incentives, etc. stay accurate! Onsite agents love us; we give them back so many hours of time they can now use to do what they should be doing - generating leads for you! As you know, accurate data is absolutely critical, yet most sales personalities aren't focused on that as much as they are geared toward what they do best – selling! So BuildersUpdate.com has come to the rescue. We will do the work for you!

  10. What is the cost to me?

Based on a typical new home marketing budget, BuildersUpdate.com costs mere "pennies on the dollar" compared to what you are spending now. But, you have a much greater chance of reaching the right agents with all of the data they are looking for by using BuildersUpdate.com. There are basically three (3) payment programs:

    1. Pay per view (PPV): PPV is strictly based on performance. You, as the builder, are charged a fee each time an agent actually clicks into your information. The fee varies from pennies to a few dollars for a detailed report sent to the agent's client. Reports at your fingertips can immediately pinpoint exactly who is looking at your inventory and what they are looking at. This is a system similar to Google's program, where you are paying strictly for performance. However, unlike Google, BuildersUpdate.com will provide you with the tools to see who is looking at your product and just what product they are looking at the most! It's target marketing at its best.

    2. Pay per month (PPM): Often a builder gets such a great response that they see the value in paying a set amount each month to have their home listed on the site. A fee of forty dollars ($40) per month allows you to keep your home in the system that month, no matter how much traffic is clicking on your inventory.

    3. Pay per house (PPH): Many builders realize the benefit of loading their homes into the system beginning at the planning stage and, for budgeting purposes, prefer a set price to cover the life of the construction. A one-time price set at $240 will keep the home listed in the system indefinitely. It will stay there until you take it out. Very simple and very effective compared to so many tools builders use now where the cost is far higher and much less effective.

  11. How do I know who is looking at my homes?

As a registered builder, you have immediate access to information including who is clicking into your inventory and how to reach them. You can even define the time frame for reporting who is looking and at what. This is tremendous in terms of trying to track what agents are looking at and thus using that information to plan your marketing. If you have homes that agents are not searching, that tells you as much as knowing exactly where they are searching. In short, you now get real time analytics to see what your marketing dollars are truly accomplishing. Unlike most tools you've always used, BuildersUpdate.com delivers data you can really use. Imagine your on-site having the ability to call an agent to follow-up and offer assistance after that agent just sent an email to his client regarding one of your homes? How powerful is that?

  12. How many homes can I list?

That is up to you. We have bulk slots for large volume production builders where you can pre-pay for either 250 or 500 monthly property slots at a significantly reduced fee. Small custom builders usually enroll using the PPH model where they pay one time and forget about it. Remember, no matter how many homes you list, we contact you regularly to update what's happening with each one. Accuracy is most important. Call us at 1-888-732-8310 for bulk rates for a lot of homes!

  13. Can I update my data on the site?

If you are a registered builder, the simplest way to update data is to call or email your personal Data Coordinator. They will gladly make an immediate change in the system for you. We maintain this control to insure accuracy of the database - we know you can appreciate that. After all, that's how we make it easy for you!

  14. What if I need help while in the site?

Call us toll free at 1-888-732-8310 and we're right there with you to assist you. BuildersUpdate.com was designed to be as simple as possible to navigate, both for builders and agents, but occasionally you might have a question and we're here to help!

  15. What are your hours?

Our Data Coordinators are available from 9am to 6pm everyday Monday through Friday. If we're not in, please leave a message and we'll catch you first thing during our normal business hours.
